I have just discovered a very interesting website.  It is located at

This provides a list of locations where business owners in the Kitchener Waterloo region can drop off waste products for recycling.  These products include florescent bulbs, toxic chemicals and electronics.

If you have coins you wanted counted, this service is available at the Bank of Montreal located at 3 King Street S, in Waterloo, ON.

This service is also available at the Toronto Dominion Banks in the following Kitchener locations:

  •  381 King St W
  • 126 Weber St
  • 272 Highland Rd W
  • 871 Victoria Street North

These banks will charge a fee if you are not a regular customer at these banks.

Finally, I have my own paper shredder, but I would like to recycle this paper as opposed to it sitting in a landfill.  You can get a Green Box free at the Cambridge (201 Savage Drive) or Waterloo (925 Erb St. W., Gate 1) Waste Management Administration Building from Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  The Green Bin has a pick-up schedule just like the Blue Bin.
