Add a Translation Button to your Webpage

by Daniel Gloade on November 16, 2015

As we know, Kitchener-Waterloo is an ethnically-diverse region.  As a small business owner, I worry that I am losing customers that have a primary language  other than English.  I just stumbled upon a solution that can be a great benefit.

You can add a button on your webpage that, when pressed, will list a menu of languages.  The website reader can click on the familiar language and the webpage will be translated into that language.

I use WordPress for this website.  Adding a translation button was easy.  I simply went to my dashboard.  I found the “Plugins” directory.  The screen listed several Plugin of no interest to me.  I used the search box on the upper right hand corner and typed “translates”.

Several different translation Plugins were listed.  I chose the most popular Plugin and clicked it.  The software did the rest.

I am glad that I found this tool.  I hope that it will make life easier for my potential clients.
